Terms of Service

Last updated 2026. My Pet's Legacy is currently in private beta; these terms will be reviewed by counsel before general availability.

1. About this service

My Pet's Legacy, operated by Pet Legacy Network, helps pet owners record a pet's lifelong story, care instructions, and advance care plans, and share that information with people they choose. The service is available in the United States only.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for the activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, records, and notes you add. You grant us only the permission needed to store, display, and share that content according to the sharing settings you choose. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

4. Planning tools are not legal or veterinary advice

Care plans, caregiver designations, and emergency care cards record your wishes and the people you would like contacted. They are not, on their own, legally binding instruments, and they are not a substitute for advice from an attorney or a licensed veterinarian. For enforceable arrangements, please speak with an attorney. In a medical emergency, contact a veterinarian.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to harass anyone, to upload malicious code, to scrape or resell data, or to attempt to access records that are not yours. We may suspend accounts that put other people's records or pets at risk.

6. Beta service and changes

During the private beta, features may change, be added, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms.

7. Ending your use

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. Keep your own copies of anything you need to retain.
