Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026. My Pet's Legacy is in private beta; this policy will be reviewed by counsel before general availability.
What we collect
Account details you give us (name, email, and optionally a phone number and location), the pet records you create (profiles, photos, health and medication entries, care and emergency plans), the people you name as caregivers, and basic technical logs needed to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
To run the service: showing you your records, generating care plans and emergency care cards, sending the notifications you ask for, and protecting accounts from abuse. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your pet's records for advertising.
Who can see your records
By default, only you. Records become visible to another person only when you invite them to a pet's care circle or create a share link. Every record is protected at the database level, so one account cannot read another account's pets.
What a shared link reveals
Share links show only the fields you choose to include. They never expose your full medical records, private notes, home address, or full microchip number unless you specifically allow it. Links can be PIN-protected, set to expire, and revoked by you at any time.
Service providers
We use a small number of vendors to host the service, store files, send email and push notifications, and process donations. They may only handle data on our instructions.
Your choices
You can view and edit your records at any time, revoke any share link, turn off notifications, export what you have added, and delete your account. Deleting your account removes your pets' records from the live service.
Children and location
The service is intended for adults in the United States and is not directed to children under 13.
