PLN Animal Advocates
Become a Founding PLN Animal Advocate
The founding advocate group is the first cohort working Animal Cases inside Pet Legacy Network — verifying information, running rescue and foster outreach, and keeping one shared record per animal.
The role
What a founding advocate actually does
Advocates coordinate. The shelter, rescue, foster, adopter, transporter, and veterinary provider stay who they are.
What a founding advocate does
Work real Animal Cases
Create the case record for an at-risk animal, verify what is actually known, and coordinate the people who can help.
Do the outreach
Rescue, foster, and transport outreach from the case — with replies routed back to the animal's record so nothing is repeated.
Shape the tooling
Founding advocates tell us what the case, search, and outreach tools are missing while they are still being built.
Be clear about it
What this designation is not
Two founding programs exist, and they never overlap.
What this designation is not
- It is not the My Pet's Legacy Founding Member program — that is for pet parents building their own pet's legacy.
- It does not make you or your coalition a shelter, rescue, nonprofit, or government agency.
- It is an unpaid volunteer role. Advocates coordinate help; they do not take custody on behalf of Pet Legacy Network.
Looking for the pet-parent program instead? My Pet's Legacy Founding Member access.
Ready to work cases with us?
Founding advocate access is granted by review. Tell us where you are and what kind of animals you already help.
