Meet HugoHugo is a 7-month-old, 35-pound puppy Husky mix. He came to Paws after a difficult start in life as one of more than 67 dogs rescued from an animal hoarding and abuse situation.Personality and TrustBecause of his past, Hugo needs a kind, patient adopter who is willing to give him time, consistency, and reassurance as he learns to feel safe. He can be very skittish at first and may not feel comfortable around new people right away but will warm up to his people.Once trust begins to build, Hugo’s sweet and affectionate side shines through. He loves spending quiet time on the couch, cuddling close, and giving kisses to the people he trusts.Behavior and TrainingIn social situations with people or other dogs, Hugo may growl or bark when he feels unsure, but he has not shown aggression. He may also try to run and hide, so he will need gentle support and gradual exposure to help…
