Meet *NYLA
Nyla has been spending her time at the shelter tucked away under her blankets, trying to make herself small in a loud, unfamiliar place. When we heard she previously lived with another cat who bullied her, we couldnât help but wonder if what she really needs is the right feline friend â one who will help her feel safe instead of scared.Previously known as Coco, Nyla is a beautiful 18-month-old gray tabby with incredibly soft, mink-like fur and a gentle, affectionate personality. Her former owners shared that she did wonderfully with kids, adults, dogs, and other cats. Even a prior owner described her as a cat who âloves to play with other cats.â Nyla has been through a lot in her short life. After being adopted, the resident male cat struggled to accept her, and despite their familyâs best efforts, the cats could not safely live together. Then came a house fire, forcing more…
