Meet Emmie
Meet Emmie — a 7-year-old Husky/German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her smile.Emmie came to us after her owner had to move in with family, and the resident dog in the home wasn't getting along with her. The family told us, "Emmie is perfect — she definitely wasn't the problem," and after just five minutes with her, you'll understand exactly what they meant.Emmie has done wonderfully with every person she's met. She's gentle, patient, and truly enjoys being part of a family. At this time, Emmie is looking for a quiet, low-stress home with no kids, no dogs, and no cats. Shelter life has pushed her stress to the max, and we've seen her become more irritable and less tolerant of fast movements, being grabbed quickly, or being told what to do.It's important to note that this is something we've only started seeing after Emmie has spent so much time in the shelter environment.
